Our Mission

  • To provide parents and educators with a close-up look at students with Asperger's and how they learn.

 

  • To provide real life solutions to the most common and most challenging education situations.

 

  • To give each participant a dynamic experience to allow change in a child's education.

 

  • To focus on long-term solutions.

 

  • To work with individual families and educators for personal application.

 

February Curriculum

  • Taking organizational skills to the next level.  Home versus school behaviors.  Technology, how it can help and hurt.  Relationships with the opposite sex.

 

  • Participants of each workshop will receive small group discussion time with both Brian R. King and Catherine Whitcher, M.Ed.  To allow this interaction, each workshop is limited to 10 participants.

Workshop Facilitators

  • Brian R. King, is a a licensed clinical social worker in which he brings a unique three fold perspective to the world of Asperger's.  Brian is not only a single father of 3 boys (tow of whom are on the Autism Spectrum), he also has a private Social Work Practice focusing exclusively on Asperger clients.  Brian is also fortunate enough to be blessed with Asperger's himself.  Brian has become known world wide for his positive approach to the Asperger's experience and is dedicating his time to serving as an ambassador between Asperger and Neurotypical communities so they can learn to better communicate, appreciate and learn to cooperate with each other in a spirit of mutual respect.

 

  • Catherine Whitcher, M.Ed, founder of Precision Education, Inc. hold multiple special education teaching certificates, has been feature on AutismOne radio show, published in The Autism Perspective and is a Nationwide Presenter on IEP Planning.  Proud sister of a successful man with Down Syndrome, Ms. Whitcher's dynamic teaching within the classroom lead her to her life-long passion of bringing education teams together for student achievement.  For over 12 years, Ms. Whitcher has been focused on maximizing special education results for students, parents and teachers.  Her special education consulting represents a parent focus, school friendly, child-centered approach to long-term success.
